Painting in oils is something I don’t do enough of but it is one of those activities which is brilliantly eccentric (especially if you land up in a collective of wanna-be’s in an evening class (a “brush of artists”?)) and something that eats up the hours in a flash. Therapeutic in a word. But getting a good result in the digital world is another story altogether. I have placed in the fourth video window over on the right hand side of my front page a clip which shows an artist taking this picture of Scarlett Johansson and rendering it from scratch in PhotoShop. Now I know I know nothing about PhotoShop at all. Except how to make icons that won’t stand up and be counted on my front page!!
